Putting your home on the market requires a lot of preparation, from finding the right realtor to finding your next home… it can be a stressful and exciting profess. But, before you list your home making these few small improvements can help you sell your home faster and for top dollar.
- Kondo-ing your home. While this hit Netflix series has “sparked joy” in finding love with less stuff, getting rid of the clutter in your home can actually be a huge advantage to selling your home quickly. Open houses and walk throughs, nothing is off limits for potential buyers to peruse… organized drawers and closets, minimal shelf decor, getting rid of “kick-knacks” can all make a major difference in having a positive showing experience which can mean the difference between getting in an offer.

They may not have children at all and it can be nearly impossible for them to picture their home in a space with orange and green walls. This approach to selling your home can also be carried into limiting the amount of family photos you have on display. The theory is that the more the potential buyers can see themselves and the less they see of you (and your collections of collectables) the more they will want to call your neutral space home. - Do a little yard work. Curb appeal is a major selling point, first impressions are everything and stay with clients longer than anything else. Think about it this way: your exterior listing photos could be enough to make a buyer skip your listing completely. (We DO judge a book by its cover.) Keeping your landscaping manicured and adding some fresh blooms can start your showing off with excitement and greets the buyer a warm welcome.
Good luck with your next adventure! We can take you from listed to closed, if you have any questions throughout the buying or selling process we would love to assist in any way!
