
We all have these moments that send us spiraling down a rabbit hole of punch listing everything that is wrong in our lives… so how do we combat all that negativity and try and maintain positivity?
Here are some tips on how we try to keep a positive mindset when everything seems to be falling apart around us.
Meditate: Take time to breathe. Give yourself some grace, and zone out the noise and pressure from the outside world the best you can. Focus on the things you can control and let go of the things you cannot. Deep breaths.
Find your tribe: Eliminating negative people in your life can have the most instant positive impact in your life. It’s amazing how friendships that build you up can redirect negative energy into a positive release.
Pray/Reflect: Sometimes you need more spiritual guidance and a power greater than your own to handle the negativity for you. Unburden your stress with prayer and reflect on all the good that’s around you.
Music: You favorite tunes, a good podcast, whatever can do to get you out of your head… do it! Turn the music up and have a mini-dance party with yourself. We promise this one helps instantly!
Unplug: Social media is stressful for a lot of reasons, we find ourselves feeling inadequate scrolling through picture perfect Pinterest kitchens or overwhelmed by our workload and people that need us instantly via our devices… set a time that you’re “off” and stick to it. Don’t work, don’t scroll… just unwind, preferably with a glass of wine.
