Wow! Can you believe it? For most of us we’ve been in quarantine for 5 weeks and it looks like we’ve got at least a month to go. It’s been incredible to see how our community has come together as whole to support those in need, the essential workers, and make masks galore for the healthcare field! BUT with all the good that has come out of this I think everyone can agree that it’s been scary, heartbreaking at times, and some days just hard to keep a smile on our face. So here’s what each of us Salty Ladies are doing to keep our world Sunny during these interesting times!
I downloaded a motivational quote app that sends me positive inspiration through out the day and I like to share those messages with others to lift them up, which makes me feel better. Our family has really gotten into bicycling and we are logging loads of miles while enjoying the sunshine and vitamin D. I have been Spending time reading outside which helps me stay calm. I also to surprise FaceTime call friends which helps me feel connected to those outside of the people who live in my house!

I try to break my day into blocks, start my day with rise shine and sweat workout, natural calm gummies and then lots of self care at night (masking, skin care etc). I have also been doing Proverbs 31 Ministries Devotional and listening to lots of worship music to keep my spirits high! I’m even trying to to tackle organizing the attic these days!

I’ve been going on bike rides and trying to spend as much time outside as possible. I have read a ton of great books and found an amazing App “CALM” that helps me relax. I turn it on when I read and before I go to sleep to keep my mind from wandering into a negative headspace. I’ve also cleaned, organized and purged every space in my house and that really helps me feel in control when life is anything but.

I found an accountability partner and everyday we are sending each other 3 things that were positive in our day. I love this because I fully believe there’s always something good to share so it reminds me of that when I feel overwhelmed and unsure. Secondly, I am saving them to be able to reflect back on this time! Another key pick me up has been being outside for at least an hour everyday!!! I’m so super thankful that we live in such amazing weather! My sanity (and my 5 year old’s energy) has needed every bit of sunshine we can get!
